At the time of making a collection if any of the references in the collection is reffering to the local storage then these references must be passed along with the contents so that they can be viewed on as well. But at the time of making the collection the references will be pointing to the local storage. To convert local references to external references this "Import Base Directory" is used. Local drive letter will be removed and replaced with the "Import Base Directory". If now the contents of local storage are placed in the Import Base Directory then the contents will be read from there.

An example of use of "Import Base Directory" will be covered in "Import" section of "How To ?"

Note: Initially "Import Base Directory" is set to the current directory of the application.
